Noah had his first official haircut on Saturday, June 11. We went to a place called The Hairy Elephant. This place was designed entirely for kids. They had all these fun toys in the waiting area, he barely wanted to leave and get his hair cut. Then for the cut itself, he got to sit in a car with a steering wheel and everything. He even got to watch Elmo, although honestly he could have cared less what was on that TV as long as he got to sit in the car. I don't think he even noticed that his hair was getting cut. At the end, they used the clippers to get the back and around his ears and he really didn't care at all. He was so good and I was so proud of him. Sadly, there was another little boy Noah's age that was not being so good. Poor kid!
Here's pictures of the day. This first one is the "Before". Of course he wouldn't look at me (too many other fun things to look at), but you can see this haircut was badly needed!
Getting started...not really sure what to think yet.
This look is priceless. It's the "Really, mom, are you going to take pictures of everything" look.
"Oooh, look at all these buttons on the car"
"Ok, now I just have to suck my thumb"
More buttons...
ALL DONE!!! He looks so handsome!
And grown up (tear).
And to have a little fun, we had to do a faux hawk for the day. We got a lot of compliments on Saturday.
We are going to be going on vacation on Saturday to Mexico and then obviously I"ll have a big post about that. Not sure if I'll post anything until then.
