First Doctor's Appointment

So yesterday was the long awaited doctor's appointment. I was so nervous, excited, and scared at the same time. I wanted so badly to see the heartbeat and confirm that the baby was growing as it should be but also scared that maybe just maybe there was 2 babies in there. And then the half hour wait just sitting there in front of the ultrasound machine didn't help!!! Luckily, he came in and we got started.

Found the baby right away and started doing his measurements. I measured 8 weeks, 1 day, which was perfect since I thought I was about 8 weeks. Here's a few pictures. The crosshairs are measuring the embryo and then the little white piece to the left is the yolk sac. On the far left, is my awesome polycystic ovary (haha).

The doctor also turned the heartbeat part on and got an awesome beat at around 177. I'm so relieved to hear everything looks perfect so far. He did get my labs back from the work I had done a few weeks ago and everything looked fine there.

We went back to his office and discussed a few things, mostly standard background health, what to do/not do, etc. We've been through this before, so nothing new. Then we set up our next appointment in 4 weeks. I would say the appointment couldn't have gone any smoother, oh well it could have been faster.
