So Noah was sick about a month ago and he never really got over it. He developed this cough which would make him vomit, especially right after a meal. Then on Tuesday morning, he developed a low fever which required David to go pick him up from daycare. He took him to the doctor and the doctor said it could just be a continuation of the virus he had before and he just hadn't gotten rid of it, or it could be a whole new thing, adding on top of what he already had. So the doctor sent him for chest x-rays, which came back clean. So the doctor suggested using a nebulizer for a breathing treatment several times every day. We did that for the remainder of Tuesday and all day Wednesday.
Thursday we took him back to the doctor. He was still having a fever and vomiting. The doctor looked at his ears and said they looked good, but he was still having a lot of congestion so we are supposed to continue the breathing treatments through the weekend. We also got an antibiotic to help fight off anything that is keeping him from getting well, especially since he is in daycare.
He seemed a lot better on Thursday. So far, he hasn't had a fever since Thursday afternoon, so about 24 hours feverless now. He also hasn't vomited since Thursday morning. You can tell he is generally in a better mood. Now if we can just get this congestion out of here. Hopefully this is the road to healthy Noah, because sick Noah is not very much fun. I'll keep everyone posted about his progress.
If he is doing better by Monday, he will get his 4-month well baby checkup.
