Noah's First Bottle

Tonight, Noah had his first bottle. We decided that this was a good time to introduce the first bottle. If you don't wait long enough, there can be problems with nursing. If you wait too long, the baby can refuse the bottle. We decided David should be the one to give the bottle since sometimes the baby won't take a bottle from the mom (baby is smart and knows he can get it directly from mom, why should he take a bottle?). Plus this gives David a chance to bond with him through feeding. This was also our first experience with the new bottles we bought (Tommee Tippee brand).

Everything went fantastic! He drank that bottle right up, I couldn't believe how fast he ate those 3.5 ounces. Then the problem: he was still hungry. We waited about an hour to make sure he actually digested the milk and was actually truly hungry and he was. I tried to nurse him, but since I had just pumped, I don't think he got much milk. He acted hungry about another hour later, and again, tried to nurse, but I just don't think there was much in there. Poor guy. Finally now, I think he has satisfied himself. I guess when we bottle feed, we need to give him more. No wonder he usually doesn't want to feed very often, he's probably eating more at each feeding. Little piggy!!!!! I think he's going to get big really quick because of this.

On another note, he got his 1 month photos done today. We ordered a CD with all the pictures and I will post those when we get the CD (around March 16). Ok time for bed!
